GIVE. ADVOCATE. VOLUNTEER.
This year United Way of Kosciusko County is joining the Red Cross to save lives during Days of Caring. This time of year is when blood is the most in need!
“Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion, and not nearly enough people are giving blood. As the only nation-wide blood bank, the American Red Cross is responsible for providing blood to more than 2,500 hospitals across the country, including 80 hospitals in the state of Indiana. Every day, here in our local communities, blood is needed to respond to patient emergencies, including accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease. By giving blood with the Red Cross, you can help make modern medicine possible.
Your donation could help save lives and touch countless others. Help us build a strong community be contributing to a strong blood supply for patients. Please consider giving blood with the Red Cross at United Way’s Days of Caring.”
