                                                  COMMITTEES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 

Standing Committees:

Finance Committee-To review on a regular basis the financial status of this United Way.  To look at creative ways to increase our endowment and thus allow a greater percentage of our donor dollars to go directly to funded programs.  Responsible for long and short range investments of the corporation and the financial institution used for management of the endowment, the general operating funds and any other monies and if necessary, to recommend changes to the institutions used.  Review and recommend in all financial and fiscal matters and policies.

Organizational Development Committee-To assess the capacities of the organization; who we are (values, mission), how we operate (structure, board & operating policies, strategic plans, facilities, equipment, personnel) and how we serve (listening to, providing services, assessing & acting upon conditions/needs of the community).   

Community Impact Committee-To address the priority community conditions by mobilizing resources to obtain measurable results. 

Vision Councils-To distribute appropriate funding for the programs, year round focus with the programs, and to create real solutions while utilizing local volunteers and issue experts under the direction of the Community Impact Committee.

 

Ad-hoc Committees:

Campaign Cabinet Committee-To assist in the multiplicity of tasks for a successful annual fund drive categorized in 5 units; industry, commerce, professional, community and leadership. To develop Leadership Giving, internal employee campaigns, corporate donations, fund raising goal, and strategies for the annual fund drive.

Nominating Committee-To search for candidates for the Board of Directors, recruit the candidates and make the recommendations to the Board of Directors.
